"How are you going to make friends?" "Can you juggle classes, sports and a job?" "Will your family be okay if you leave?" |
Do these questions sound familiar? Parents, teachers and well meaning adults worldwide ask these and similar questions of young people when they approach the age of majority. Sometimes these questions feel intrusive and painful, often because the teen on the receiving end has already been asking herself the same questions, and hasn't been coming up with satisfying answers. Transitioning out of high school is difficult, and often young people need help successfully navigating this challenging passage.
